  • solar powered gates -  (gates powered by solar electricity)
Drawing power from the mains to open a driveway gate. Generally there are four types of electromechanical gate operator: Worm driven (or screw type) swing gates, barrier arm operators and sliding operators Electric and automatic gate openers are designed for both sliding and swinging gates. They can be programmed to open with a manual device or a wireless transmitter. Automatic gate operators can also be fitted with solar panels to operate without high voltage power. Many manufacturers offer battery backup either integrated or as an add on to systems that ensure function during loss of electricity

  • entry packages
Package for entrance of a home, subdivision, commercial, or high security application that includes, but is not limited to, gates, barriers,  automation, keypad, guard house, fountain, columns, fencing, walls and cameras.

  • perimeter security
The physical security surrounding a predetermined area wanting to be protected.

  • k12 rating
Department of State rating that test a type of barrier (barrier, bollard, fence, or rail) to stop a 15,000 lb vehicle at 50 mph within a meter from impact point

  • access control points
The point in perimeter security where access is determined to be granted or denied by way of guard, card reader, visually by camera, or type of scan (card, retina, fingerprint, etc.)
  • video analytics
Also known as Video Content Analysis - is the capability of analyzing video to detect and determine temporal events not based on a single image. It is used in a wide range of domains including entertainment, health care, retail, automotive, transport, domotica, safety and security. The algorithms can be implemented as software on general purpose machines, or as hardware in specialized video processing units.

Many different functionalities can be implemented in Video Analytics. Video Motion Detection is one of the simpler forms where motion is detected with regard to a fixed background scene. More advanced functionalities include video tracking and egomotion estimation.  Based on the internal representation that Video Analytics generates in the machine, it is possible to build other functionalities, such as identification, behavior analysis or other forms of situation awareness.

Video Analytics relies on good input video, so it is often combined with video enhancement technologies such as video denoising, image stabilization, unsharp masking and super-resolution.

  • wedge barriers
A type of barrier that can be mounted in the ground or mobile, that is placed in a strategic location to stop flow of traffic.

  • bollards
A bollard is a short vertical post. Originally it only meant a post[1] used on a quay for mooring. The word now also describes a variety of structures to control or direct road traffic, such as posts arranged in a line to obstruct the passage of motor vehicles.

  • card readers aka- Access control card reader

Access control card readers are used in physical security systems to read a credential that allows access through access control points, typically a locked door. An access control reader can be a magnetic stripe reader, a bar code reader, a proximity reader, a smart card reader, or a biometric reader.

Access control readers may be classified by functions they are able to perform.
